Friends of Fishtown 5K
The 10th Annual Friends of Fishtown 5K Run/Walk returns on July 21, 2018. Tickets go on sale February 1!

The Friends of Fishtown 5K course winds through Leland’s neighborhoods and along the Leland River, starting and finishing in the heart of Fishtown. Easy climbs and graceful descents make this an event for the serious runner or the whole family! Runners, walkers, strollers, and leashed dogs are all welcome.

• All proceeds help preserve Fishtown
• RFID Chip Timing (through Endurance Evolution of Traverse City)
• We’re part of the Traverse City Track Club’s Grand Prix Series
• Corral starting line – fastest runners at the front
• Registration includes:
– Race T-shirt (New this year – wicking tees!)
– Hydration stations throughout course
– Post-race fuel
– Win incredible race medals unique to Fishtown!

The waves lately have been crashing over the Leland Harbor rock breakwall. Imagine how the open waters of Lake Michigan battered Fishtown and its commercial fishermen for more than one-hundred years before the Harbor of Refuge was built in the late 1960s.
