Elk Rapids Harbor Days – August 1 – 4, 2018

Elk Rapids Harbor Days is a small town celebration with a big reputation in northern Michigan; make it a part of your summer plans! In 2018 Harbor Days runs from August 1 thru August 4.

Events & Activities may include Comedy at the Cinema, Paddlebuoy races, harborun, parade, fireworks, chocolate bake off, diaper derby, toddler trot, Ballin’ at the Bay, pet show, sandcastle building, senior luncheon, carnival, musical entertainment, “The Lego Movie” in the park, kid’s day, bake sale, penny scramble, and more.

Harbor Days is traditionally known to have one of the best fireworks displays in northern Michigan, provided by world famous Zambelli’s pyrotechnics. Imagine relaxing on the beach or your boat after a busy day and watching the dazzling array of fireworks lighting up the evening sky and reflecting into the water below.

The entertainment begins on Wednesday evening with the much-anticipated Evening On River Street. Enjoy a street fair atmosphere with a cornucopia of sights and sounds to satisfy your appetite for food, music and entertainment.

The days following include activities geared to the young and old alike, sandcastle building, outstanding musical entertainment, a carnival, Kids Day activities and so much more.

The Harbor Days celebration culminates on Saturday with a parade down the streets of town with local dignitaries, floats, bands, and of course Miss Elk Rapids!

Crystal Mountain – Gravity Festival – August 4, 2018

Schedule

11am – 3pm: Crystal Trifecta Challenge

About the Trails – Open and Hardtail participants will ride “Enter Sand, Man” while Juniors will race on Pixie Dust. Two qualifying runs per rider. Riders can opt out of riding the second heat if they feel their first time will be their best. Medals for the top three in each category! Full face helmets required. Open practice will be available from 10-11am on the day of the race.

Categories:
• Open Category: Men’s/Women’s, Full Suspension Bikes
• Hardtails Rule: Men’s/Women’s, Any Hardtail Mountain Bikes including Fat Bikes!
• Juniors: Boys & Girls, Ages 13 and Younger

Cost:
$30 per racer includes lift access for the day, race entry, drink ticket and Alpine Slide ride ticket. Registration required, call 888-968-7686 ext. 7502.

Registration:
Packet pick up and day-of registration available at the Mountain Adventure Zone at 9am.

Awards Ceremony & After Party

3:30pm: Medals will be awarded for the top finishers. Overall 1st place will receive a 2018-19 Ski Season Pass and Free Entry into next year’s Trifecta race. Overall 2nd place takes home a 2019 Gravity Park Season Pass, and 3rd place wins one Gravity Park Day Pass.
