Friday, March 17

9am – 4pm

Shamrock Search – Find a numbered shamrock and return it to the Park at Water’s Edge for a prize!

Pot of Gold Challenge – Enter your best guess to win a Pot of Gold. Visit the Park at Water’s Edge for details.

Look for the Leprechaun – The leaping Leprechaun comes just once a year. Find him for good luck and an on hill photo!

4pm – 11pm: Green Beer Party at the Vista Lounge

Saturday, March 18

9:30am – 1:30am: Event Registration

Slope side registration available for the Kayak on the Snow Race and the Slush Cup. Participants must be present to register. See rules for event age requirements. Parent signature required for children 17 and under.

11am: Kayak on the Snow Race

Compete for the best time kayaking on the snow! Equipment provided. The use of personal equipment is prohibited. Participants must be at least 8 years old. Registration required.

12pm – 4pm: DJ Dance Party & BBQ

We’ll be playing games and dancing all afternoon long! Held slopeside on the Lodge deck.

1pm: Celtic Dance

Enjoy a unique slopeside show of Dair2Treble Irish & Interpretive Dance Troupe. Directed by Rose Vanderley. Showcasing traditional Irish dancing steps!

2pm: Slush Cup

Ski or ride through a giant pit of icy slush for bragging rights. Day of registration required at slopeside tent. Helmets are required. Rental gear is prohibited. Participants must be 12 years of age.

Leelanau Peninsula Wine Trail – Sips, Chips and Dips – March 18, 2017

Join the casual fun on Saturday, March 18, 2017 from 12:00 to 5:00 pm as participating wineries pair everyday snacks with Leelanau wine.

This is a fantastic way to try lots of your favorite munchies and see how great they taste when complemented by wine. Tickets are $10 per person and include a souvenir wine glass, a snack-and-wine pairing at each of 19 participating wineries and a $5 donation to help save the Leland Harbor. Enjoy the yummy fun!

Here are the 2017 simple, yet delicious, pairings.

Grand Traverse Bay Loop

Black Star Farms of  Suttons Bay is serving Queso Fundido Dip with Great Lakes Seasoned Tortilla chips paired with Apple Cherry Cider.

L. Mawby of Suttons Bay is serving Great Lakes Wave Potato Chips with Homemade French Onion Dip from Natural Northern paired with Fresh Spring Sipper, M. Lawrence Green Sparkling Wine. (And a little luck whether you’re Irish or not…. buy 5 bottles of Green, get one 1 free!)

Chateau De Leelanau of Suttons Bay is serving House-made Chili con Queso and Great Lakes Tortilla Chips paired with a brand new 2016 Pinot Noir Rose’.

Boathouse Vineyards of Lake Leelanau is serving with either Great Lakes Buffalo Wing Potato Chips or Great Lakes Tortilla Chips and a Slightly Spicy Mango Salsa paired with a BEST IN CLASS Semi-Sweet Riesling

French Valley Vineyard and Bistro of Suttons Bay is serving Trempette à L’oignon Francaise (an Onion Dip) with Great Lakes Original Chips paired with a 2011 Merlot. 

Verterra Winery of Leland is serving BlueBird Ranch Dressing and Great Lakes Wave Potato Chips paired with Chaos Red Cuvée or Verterra Salsa and Great Lakes Seasoned Tortilla Chips, paired with Chaos White. 

Aurora Cellars of Lake Leelanau is serving Alfredo Pasta Chips with Basil Pesto paired with aPinot Gris.

Leelanau Wine Cellars of Omena is serving Deviled Crab Dip with Pita Chips paired with a Pinot Grigio.

Sleeping Bear Loop

Laurentide Winery of Lake Leelanau is serving Mike’s Famous Bean Dip and Great Lakes Tortilla Chips paired with Pinot Gris.

Chateau Fontaine of Lake Leelanau is serving three dips and Great Lakes Chips, plus their “Chili Man Dip” (Made with Cream Cheese and Dixie Chili Sauce, Topped with Cheddar Cheese and Served with Corn Chips) and their Infamous Cheese Ball, all paired with a newly released 2015 Pinot Gris.
