A distinctly Northwoods golf experience, Gary Player designed The Wolverine with each nine offering its own challenges. The course weaves through water and wetlands on the front nine, and highland terrain with hardwoods and views of Grand Traverse Bay greet you on the back nine.
Flexibility, versatility, and playability are built into this unique course, which offers four tees on each hole.

The Wolverine features:

Other features include strategically placed, easily visible white-sand bunkers; several large lakes; rolling fairways; and gently contoured greens. The Wolverine backs off its wily ways with generous fairways and broad landing areas. Golfers can chip and run from fairways to greens.

Designed by former University of Michigan golf coach William Newcomb, Spruce Run golf course was aptly named to reflect the numerous fir and spruce trees that line its fairways and undulating greens. The course gracefully winds among the rolling hills overlooking East Grand Traverse Bay.
