Crystal Mountain – Cardboard Classic – March 12, 2016


Build a cardboard sled using ONLY standard brown cardboard and duct tape! Decorate it as you please and bring it to Crystal Mountain for race day.

Location: Cheers

Time: 11am

Age Divisions:
• 8-12 years old
• 13+ years old

Participants must be at least 8 years old to ride in the sled race. Helmets are required in the 8-12 age division.

Registration: Registration is free. All participants must be registered at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the event.

Sleds may be made of cardboard and regular duct tape ONLY. Sleds must be present during registration for inspection. No more than three riders in the sled.

Crystal Mountain – Slush Cup – March 12, 2016


Ski or ride through a giant pit of icy slush! Participants are scored based on style, performance and landing. Ribbons will be awarded for all skiers and riders who participate.

Location: Thor

Time: 4pm

Must be ages 8 or older to participate. Participants are strongly encouraged to bring their own towels. Rental equipment is not permitted through the Slush Cup.

Free registration. Must be registered at the slopeside tent at least 30 minutes prior to start of event. Helmets are required for participants aged 8-12.

Crystal Mountain – On-Slope Kayak Race – March 12, 2016


Race down the slopes on a kayak! You don’t want to miss out on this fun race with prizes awarded to the top three racers in each age division!

Time: 2pm

Location: Lower Gorge

Age Divisions
• 8-12 years old
• 13+ years old

Helmets are required for all participants in the 8-12 age division. All equipment will be provided.

Registration is free. All participants must be registered at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the event. Personal kayaks are not allowed for this event.

Leelanau Peninsula Wine Trail – Sips, Chips and Dips – March 18, 2017

Join the casual fun on Saturday, March 18, 2017 from 12:00 to 5:00 pm as participating wineries pair everyday snacks with Leelanau wine.

This is a fantastic way to try lots of your favorite munchies and see how great they taste when complemented by wine. Tickets are $10 per person and include a souvenir wine glass, a snack-and-wine pairing at each of 19 participating wineries and a $5 donation to help save the Leland Harbor. Enjoy the yummy fun!
